How to choose a charging pile suitable for new energy vehicles?

There are three main factors for choosing a charging pile:
1. The power of the charging pile. The power of the charging pile determines the charging speed. Generally speaking, the higher the power, the faster the charging. Common charging pile powers on the market are 7kW, 11kW, 21kW, etc. Different new energy models have different power requirements for charging piles. Generally speaking, 7kW charging piles can be adapted to most models, such as BYD/Lixiang/Nio/Xpeng P7/Roewe/Aion, etc. If you can apply for a 380V three-phase electric meter, you can choose an 11kW or 21kW charging pile, which has faster charging speed, better cable hardware materials, and higher safety.

2. The safety of the charging pile. Charging pile is an electrical product, and safety is a very important consideration. When choosing a charging pile, it depends on whether there is CQC testing and certification, which is the national quality standard and requirement for charging piles. In addition, it also depends on whether the charging pile has protection guarantees such as lightning protection and waterproof, flame retardant, leakage prevention, and overcurrent prevention, as well as functions such as emergency stop protection, equipment offline alarm, and fuse fuse alarm detection.

3. The brand of the charging pile. The brand of charging pile is also a factor affecting the choice. In general, there are two options: original brands and third-party brands. The original brand refers to the charging pile provided or recommended by the car manufacturer, such as Tesla and Weilai. The advantage of the original brand is that it has a better texture and a better match with the model; the disadvantage is that the price is higher and the adaptability is poor. Third-party brands refer to other companies or platforms that specialize in the production or sale of charging piles, such as Puode, Zhida, Bull, etc. The advantages of third-party brands are lower prices, higher cost performance, and better adaptability; the disadvantages are poor texture and do not match well with the model.
