New Energy Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE)

Refers to external charging equipment for charging plug-in hybrid and pure electric vehicles, including all power supply equipment connected to AC voltage with charging plugs.

2. AC charging

It refers to the method of charging the power battery pack by rectifying the alternating current into direct current through the vehicle charger.

3. Direct current charging (DC charging)

Refers to the method of charging the power battery by direct current.

4. Charging disconnection device (CCID)

Refers to the leakage protection device in the charging line. When a leakage is detected in the vehicle, the CCID will interrupt the current between the charging cable and the vehicle.

5. Charger (Charger)

Refers to the electrical equipment or other electrical energy supply equipment output of alternating current, into direct current charging current equipment. On-vehicle chargers are installed in the vehicle, while off-vehicle chargers are part of the EVSE.

6. Charge plug (Charge connector)

Also known as a charging gun, a device that plugs into the vehicle's charging port to charge the power battery.

7. Charging port/Charge inlet

Refers to the electrical socket installed in electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles, usually located behind a protective cover. The technical standard of the charging port or charging inlet must correspond to the charging plug inserted into the vehicle in order for charging to take place.

8. Charging cable

A portable charging device with one end plugged into the vehicle and the other end plugged into a 220V wall socket.

9. Charging station (Charging station)

A fixed device that delivers electricity to a plug-in hybrid or pure electric vehicle, usually installed in a home garage, workplace, parking lot or public area. According to the number of charging hours, there are DC charging station and AC charging station.
